Do you offer internships?

Yes! We offer both summer internships and year-round internship opportunities. The goal of our internship program is to identify qualified candidates before they graduate; provide them with opportunities to prove themselves by performing at one of our facilities.

How do I know whether I should apply as an Intern or as a New College Grad?

An intern is someone who is currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, and is actively pursuing a degree. If you have already graduated and are no longer registered in a degree earning program then we encourage you to check out available New College Grad opportunities.

A new college grad is someone who has earned his/her most recent degree within the past 12 months, or is about to earn his/her degree. The number of years of experience that you have does not matter as long as your graduation date is less than a year ago.

Can you tell me the types of positions that I qualify for?

No. Being proactive in identifying positions that YOU are interested in will result in the best possible match for your job search outcome. However, all of our new college grad and intern positions are listed on the web site. Once you have identified specific positions that you are both interested in and qualify for we will get your resume in front of the hiring manager to evaluate your skills and determine whether or not they are a match. You can apply for the position(s) directly online (the express route) or you can send an email to us with a copy of your resume with a listing the requisition number(s) that you are interested in (the slow route).

What jobs do you currently have open?

All of our current openings are listed on our web site. However, positions open up and are filled on an on-going basis throughout our recruiting season. If you are interested in a specific type of a position but cannot find a current opening for it on our web site, please send us an email message with your resume attached and the type of position that you are interested in listed in the “subject line” of the email. One of our staff members will review your submission then forward your resume on to hiring managers who typically hires new college grads and interns for those types of positions.

How do I apply for an open position?

The best way to apply for a position is to come up to our table and talk to one of our representatives when we are participating in a career fair on your campus. Or, you can submit your resume for consideration to your career center when we are scheduling on campus interviews at your school. Or, you can visit our web site, locate the positions that you are interested in and apply directly online. Or, you can send us an email listing the requisition numbers of the positions that you are interested in being considered for in the subject line of the email. Lots of choices but we leave it up to you to decide the best option for you!

Where does Symantec recruit?

We believe in going wherever we have to in order to find the appropriate talent to fill our positions. Check out our campus calendar to view where we’ll be this fall and spring. If you have the skill sets that we need, but we are not scheduled to visit your campus, please go to our web site and apply directly on line. Or, if you feel strongly that we should be recruiting directly from your school, send us an email listing all of the reasons that you believe that we should be recruiting directly from your school.
