CUPERTINO, Calif. --January 8, 1996-- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that its results for the quarter ending December 31, 1995 are expected to be below analyst estimates, based on sales information received by management on Friday.
The Company now expects revenues to be slightly above the prior quarter levels and results from continuing operations to be slightly above break-even. As previously indicated, there will be one-time and discontinued operations charges mainly attributable to the acquisition of Delrina Corporation of about $40 million in the quarter.
