Symantec Appoints Tim Lyons to National Director, Client/Server Sales

Delrina Group’s Electronic Forms Sales Force Doubles in Size

CUPERTINO, Calif., February 6, 1996 -- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq:SYMC) today announced the appointment of Tim Lyons to National Director, Client/Server Sales. At the same time, the company merged its corporate sales teams for Electronic Forms and for Enterprise Developer (EDEV). This consolidation results in a doubling of the sales force focusing on Delrina FormFlow. These organizational changes bring added benefits to FormFlow customers through Symantec's well-established VAR and systems integrator programs, strategic partner relationships, and excellent technical support.

"We have been using FormFlow for a number of years and of all the vendors we deal with, Delrina is tops in terms of technical support and fast responses to our questions," said Sam Vetto, systems consultant, client/server engineering at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. "Now that Delrina is part of the Symantec organization, we have even more sales and systems engineering resources available to us."

"For organizations, both corporate and government, FormFlow has become a critical component in building client/server solutions to automate business processes. Symantec has tremendous confidence in the electronic forms market and our offerings in this market. This confidence drives our commitment to FormFlow and is reflected in our decision to increase the sales resources behind it," said Gordon E. Eubanks, Jr., president and CEO, Symantec Corp. "Our senior management leaders, Teddy Rosenberg as general manager of electronic forms, and Tim Lyons heading up sales, give us the skills and experience we need to take advantage of the growth in the electronic forms marketplace."

In his new position, Mr. Lyons is responsible for directing the sales efforts for FormFlow and EDEV. In his six years with Symantec, Mr. Lyons has held regional and national sales management positions including District and Regional Manager. His sales experience with Symantec helps to continue FormFlow’s dominance as the leading electronic forms solution. He brings to the position an extensive corporate sales background and experience in directing the efforts of a sales team targeting large organizations. Prior to Symantec, Mr. Lyons held a senior account manager position at Corporate Software Inc. (now Stream International) with major corporate account responsibility in the Northeast. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University.

About Delrina FormFlow
