The pcANYWHERE32 v7.5 offers remote control, file transfer, and general communications with modem, cable, and network connections in one box, cable included. The program has an estimated street price of $149 for a two-computer (host and remote) license. A competitive upgrade version of pcANYWHERE32 v7.5 is also available from major retailers for $89.00.
Customers who purchased pcANYWHERE32 between April 18 and June 18, 1996, can qualify for a free upgrade to the 7.5 version, and registered pcANYWHERE32 customers prior to April 18 can upgrade to version 7.5 for $19.95 (including S&H) for a limited time. Registered users of all other pcANYWHERE versions and users of competitive products, such as LapLink and ReachOut, can upgrade direct from Symantec for a limited time at $79.95 (not including S&H).
pcANYWHERE32 for Windows 95 and Windows NT runs on an IBM compatible 486SX 25 Mhz or higher and requires 4MB RAM (8MB recommended) and VGA. The program supports Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5.1 or higher, Web Browsers, Microsoft BackOffice, CA-Unicenter, and all major networks including ISDN, NetWare IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, NetBIOS, Banyan Vines, and NetWare Connect connections. Dial in/out Gateways supported include NASI/NCSI and terminal emulation supported include ANSI, DEC, IBM, Data General as well as file transfer protocols ASCII, XMODEM, YMODEM, ZMODEM and Kermit. The program is compatible with earlier Windows and DOS versions of pcANYWHERE.
