CUPERTINO, Calif. -- October 24, 1996 -- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that it has entered into noncancelable lease agreements for its current world headquarters and the building it partially occupies at 20300 Stevens Creek Boulevard, both in Cupertino. Symantec also has received approvals on plans to construct a new building facing onto DeAnza Boulevard in Cupertino.
To secure the financing arrangements estimated $80.4 million, Symantec will commit cash or securities with a value of approximately $69.1 million.
