Symantec Corporation to Exhibit Internet Tools and Utilities at Fall Internet World

NEW YORK, New York. -- December 11, 1996 -- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq:SYMC) will be featuring various Internet tools and utilities at the Fall Internet World in New York, NY. Included are Norton Anti-Virus. Visual Café and Visual Café Pro are JavaTM development environments that are the first RAD (Rapid Application Development) tools for developers that help those users new to Java to generate Web applications using an development environment that can handle most complex applications. Visual Café Pro adds database functionality for Java.

Also highlighted at the show will be Symantec's Internet FastFind. Internet FastFind is Symantec's first Internet specific product that helps users find and retrieve information on the Internet faster and easier. Internet FastFind is the only product that combines simultaneous multi-engine search, notification of changes to selected Websites, FTP and network sites, extensive Internet file searching, zipping and unzipping capabilities, and access to favorite Web sites from the Taskbar.

In addition, Symantec will show WinFax PRO 7.5 which delivers all the traditional productivity benefits of computer based faxing, plus the ability to send faxes through the Internet for delivery to fax machines worldwide that exist off the Internet.
