CUPERTINO, Calif. --March 31, 1997-- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) announced today that the award-winning Norton Utilities for Macintosh 3.2 will be bundled on Apple's new line of Macintosh computers for the small business market. Norton Utilities for Macintosh 3.2 will be included on the Small Business Macintosh 6500/250 and 4400/200, scheduled to be released this month. Terms of the agreement were not released.

Bundled with the industry-standard business software, including Microsoft Office, these systems provide users with comprehensive, powerful small business solutions.
"Not only do small business owners need a complete, no hassle computer system that works immediately out of the box, they need to protect the critical data and information they will be storing on their new Macintosh," said Greg LaPorte, senior manager of Apple's small business marketing.
