Symantec's Web Site Ranks Among The Top 100 Busiest Sites On The World Wide Web

Site Offers Hot Content Including Free Trialware, Free Anti-Virus Updates, and Upgrades for Symantec's Complete Line of Software

CUPERTINO, Calif. --Sept. 9 1997-- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) announced today that its Web site ( has been named as one of the most popular sites on the Internet, according to Web21, the first online service to rank the top 100 Web sites by the number of hits and links. Ranked above McAfee, and the New York Times, Symantec's Web site offers consumers free product test drives, the industry's only free updates for Norton Anti-Virus and other Symantec anti-virus supported products and upgrades for the company's line of software.
