Bank Of Ireland Selects Symantec For Group Virus Protection

Up to 25,000 Licenses of Norton AntiVirus to be Available to Entire Group in a Deal Worth up to $244,000

CUPERTINO, Calif. - June 20, 2000 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that Bank of Ireland has chosen Symantec, the leading internet security provider, to provide the Group with up to 25,000 user licenses of the Norton AntiVirus Solution Suite. The enterprise-wide license, including service and support, covers the Group's entire retail network including desktops, servers, and gateways. Installation is projected to be complete by September 2000.
