Symantec Offers Dial-in Number For Its Quarterly Earnings Conference Call

CUPERTINO, Calif. -October 11, 2000 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) will be holding a conference call on Wednesday, October 18, 2000, at 4:30 p.m. EDT to discuss the results of its fiscal second quarter 2001 ending September 29, 2000.

All interested parties are invited to listen to Symantec's chairman, president and chief executive officer John Thompson and chief financial officer Greg Myers present the quarterly earnings results and highlights.
