Weafer will discuss the top 10 Internet security threats that companies face and how users can take precautions to remain protected without sacrificing the efficiency of their e-business activities.
In his keynote, Weafer will discuss the latest vulnerabilities and how they relate to recent attacks, such as the Sircam virus and the Code Red worm. He will also go over the security threats defined by the latest CSI/FBI study and break down their root causes and how to overcome them.
Vincent Weafer is responsible for the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center. His mission is to advance the research into new computer malware threats and provide the most trusted and rapid anti-virus, intrusion and vulnerability response, real-time alerting, content solutions, research and analysis. His team has also been responsible for the development of key anti-virus technologies such as Symantec's Bloodhound, Striker, Scan & Deliver, and NAVEX extensible engine technology.
