Symantec Shortlisted for Ten Secure Computing Awards

CUPERTINO, Calif. - April 22, 2002 -Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that it has been named as a finalist in more categories than any other vendor in this year's Secure Computing Awards, which will take place in London, England on April 23.

In all, Symantec solutions have made it to the finals in 10 categories in both the Readers' Trust Awards, voted for by the readers of Secure Computing magazine, and the Academy Awards, which are decided by a panel of security experts.

In the Readers' Trust Awards, Symantec is a finalist for the awards for:

In the Academy Awards, Symantec has reached the finals for:
