(Nasdaq:SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that Gail Hamilton, Symantec's executive vice president, will participate in a panel discussion on security as part of The Progress & Freedom Foundation's 2002 Aspen Summit. The panel "Network Security in an Always-On World" will be held Tuesday, August 20 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. MT at the St. Regis in Aspen, Colo.
During her presentation Hamilton will discuss how blended threats such as Nimda attack companies' networks and how businesses can protect themselves against this new type of threat. She'll also discuss the need for integrated security solutions, preventive security measures and secured business processes.
This year's Summit will focus on the drivers behind the next generation of Internet-driven innovation and growth, including broadband communications, new wireless technologies, rich digital content and innovative new digital devices.
