Symantec Risk Management Expert Shares Disaster Recovery Knowledge During Comdex Atlanta Panel

CUPERTINO, Calif. – September 10, 2002 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that one of its security experts will participate in a risk management panel session at COMDEX Atlanta, September 9-13 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Charles Johnson, vice president of Symantec Security Services at Symantec, will participate in “Risk Management and Business Recovery: Has Anything Really Changed?” from 2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. today. As part of the IT/Business Alignment and Strategy track of COMDEX’s Business Technology Conference, this panel will provide audience members with practical steps to assess an enterprise organization’s readiness in dealing with IT infrastructure disruptions. The panelists will discuss the importance of a disaster recovery plan as well as the reality of implementing such a plan to protect an enterprise environment.

Considered one of the largest events in the computer industry, COMDEX focuses on technology trends, issues, and products for manufacturers, distributors, resellers, dealers, information technology managers, and corporate end-users of desktop and enterprise computer systems and related peripherals and services. This year’s conference is co-located with Networld + Interop Atlanta.
