Symantec Launches New Line of AntiVirus and Filtering Solutions for Domino at Lotusphere

Symantec Continues to Protect Full Range of Groupware Systems from New and Unknown Threats

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- January 27, 2003 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering for Domino, which now provides IT Administrators with an integrated virus protection and filtering solution for a full-range of Lotus Notes/Domino databases. Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering for Domino will protect Lotus/Domino databases running on Solaris, AIX, iSeries, Linux and Windows NT/2000 from malicious content and destructive programs. Enhanced Functionality for Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering for Domino for Windows NT/2000
Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering for Domino for Windows NT/2000 now offers support to Lotus Notes/Domino 6.0, which ensures reliable protection as enterprises migrate to the latest Notes technology. In addition, the solution has enhanced its content filtering capabilities which uses Symantec’s patented Dynamic Document Review to provide policy-based filtering of undesirable content. Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering for Domino for Windows NT/2000 is also now integrated with the Symantec Enterprise Security Architecture, Symantec’s recently released enterprise management architecture, which helps IT Administrators to manage antivirus and content filtering events through simplified logging and alerting functionality.

The solution also provides real-time protection against malicious and spam attacks, with increased protection for more attachment types, offering IT administrators a proactive approach to security as well as a means to preserve bandwith and promote user productivity.
