Symantec Channel VP to Keynote at Channel Focus

CUPERTINO, Calif. - April 07, 2003 - - Symantec (Nasdaq:SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that Allyson Seelinger, vice president of North American Consumer and Enterprise Channels, will keynote at Channel Focus North America. Seelinger's presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, from 12:10 p.m. - 1:40 p.m. PT at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley.

During her presentation Seelinger will provide an update on key industry and channel trends. She will discuss technologies that are still experiencing growth during these tough economic times and talk about changing buying patterns in corporate America and the associated impact on the channel.

Channel Focus North America 2003 is created to give IT sales and marketing executives new strategies and tactics to help grow their market share. The conference provides a forum for computer-related hardware, software, peripherals and service providers to share how they drive business through emerging indirect and direct channels.

As Symantec's vice president of North American Consumer and Enterprise Channels, Seelinger is responsible for Symantec's channel program. Her background includes senior management positions in regional sales, marketing and distribution.
