On Wednesday, June 18, from 3 – 4:30 p.m. ET Charlie Johnson, Symantec's vice president of worldwide security services, will participate in the Network World Security Showdown. In this special presidential-style debate, Network World Editorial Director John Gallant will bring together top technical executives from the leading security vendors to find out how they plan to help customers deal with the challenges facing them today. Johnson manages the team that monitors and defends corporate networks around the world from hack attacks, computer viruses, and other Internet security breaches.
On Thursday, June 19, from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. ET Amit Yoran, vice president of worldwide managed security services, will participate in a panel discussion "Protecting Web Services: Securing the Web-Enabled Enterprise." The panel will address the need for "application-level" firewalls that can enforce application-specific security policies at infrastructure perimeters. In his position at Symantec, Yoran leverages his security experience in both the public and private sectors to assist managed security services customers with securing their enterprise networks.
