(Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that five Symantec security experts will speak at RSA Conference 2004, Feb. 23-27, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. RSA Conference 2004 is a key forum for gathering decision and policy makers together to discuss critical Internet security-related issues.
Rob Clyde, chief technology officer for Symantec, will keynote Thursday, Feb. 26 at 3:40 p.m. PT. Clyde's keynote presentation, "How to Stop a Flying Bullet," will discuss the changing threat landscape and the technology investments, such as proactive security solutions, that will be essential to protecting networks and data.
On Monday, Feb. 23 at 3:00 p.m. PT, Jim Morrison, senior security consultant, will present "The Devil at Your Door: Spam, Viruses, Trojans, and Worms." His presentation will discuss the essentials of spam, viruses, trojans, and worms, including how they work; how they come into a networking environment; and strategies for protection.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 2:15 p.m. PT, Morrison will present "And the Hits Keep Coming: Analysis and Lessons Learned From the Summer 2003 Threats." In his presentation, he will provide an analysis of the summer's three malicious threats and demonstrate how the threats compromised enterprise networks and exploited user systems. Morrison will share best practices that enterprises can implement to protect their network assets.
