Symantec Security Expert to Speak at 2004 ABA Regulatory Compliance Conference

CUPERTINO, Calif. - June 2, 2004 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the global leader in information security, today announced that Bruce Moulton, vice president of information security business strategy, will speak at the 2004 American Bankers Association Regulatory Compliance Conference held June 6 - 9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago.

Moulton will participate in a panel discussion on Monday, June 7, at 11 a.m. CT entitled "Reporting Security Breaches: Lessons Learned and Recent Guidance." This session will examine lessons learned from recently reported security breaches, as well as how the California security breach law is impacting the operations of financial institutions. This session also will focus on compliance with the federal regulatory agency's proposed requirements for customer response programs and the reporting of breaches.

As vice president of information security business strategy at Symantec, Moulton brings more than 25 years of diverse experience in information security, business continuity, and IT audits.
