Symantec to Webcast Investor Meetings on Veritas Software Merger

CUPERTINO, Calif., and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Jan. 3, 2005 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC) and VERITAS Software Corp. (Nasdaq: VRTS) will webcast the proceedings of a series of meetings for the investment community regarding the proposed merger with VERITAS Software.

All interested parties are invited to listen to Symantec's chairman and chief executive officer, John W. Thompson, and Gary L. Bloom, VERITAS chairman, president and chief executive officer, discuss the transaction during the following webcasts:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT
  • Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at 7:30 a.m. ET/4:30 a.m. PT
