VERITAS Vice President Julie Parrish Named to List of Top 75 Channel Executives
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - March 21, 2005 - VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq: VRTS) was recognized today by CMP Media's VARBusiness magazine as one of North America's top information technology (IT) vendors for its breadth and depth of channel-partner programs. VERITAS received a five-star rating, acknowledging the robust features of its programs for IT integrators, resellers and consultants. Additionally, VARBusiness magazine named Julie Parrish, vice president of Americas field and channel marketing, to its list of the Top 75 Channel Executives.
"We applaud VERITAS for its unswerving commitment, responsiveness and innovation in working with channel partners," said Robert C. DeMarzo, publisher, VARBusiness. "We also congratulate Julie Parrish for her dedication to VERITAS' global partner program, which has earned her deep respect in the channel community. We are pleased to name her as one of this year's Top 75 Channel Executives."
"Close collaboration with our global partner community has been vital to VERITAS' success, and it is an honor to work with such a world-class group of companies to deliver our industry-leading storage management and data protection solutions to customers worldwide," said Art Matin, executive vice president, Worldwide Sales, VERITAS Software. "I am very proud of our channel team's continued efforts in providing our partners with best-in-class products and programs."
Of the 287 vendor program entries reviewed this year just one-third, representing 85 vendors, received the coveted five-star rating in the VARBusiness 11th annual Partner Programs Guide survey. To determine the most robust vendor partner programs and to determine those with a five-star ranking, VARBusiness invited IT vendors to submit descriptions of their channel partner programs between November 2004 and January 2005. The programs were scored on breadth and depth. Results were tabulated by Answers Research, a Solana Beach, Calif.-based market research and consulting firm.
To become a member of the VARBusiness Top 75 Channel Executives, executives must demonstrate a long-term commitment to the channel, possess a strong connection to corporate leaders, serve as a channel evangelist inside their organization and demonstrate innovative channel-management strategies.
Both features appear in the March 21, 2005, issue of VARBusiness and are posted to the Web at www.varbusiness.com
