(Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that Acer Incorporated (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 2353.TW) has selected Symantec security solutions to protect its customers worldwide. Acer ranks as the world’s number four PC brand. Under terms of the agreement, Norton Internet Security 2006 or Norton AntiVirus 2006 will ship preinstalled on more than 45 million Acer desktop and notebook PCs globally. Customers will be able to use Norton Internet Security 2006 or Norton AntiVirus 2006 for a 90-day complimentary trial; when the trial period ends, customers can then purchase a full 12-month subscription.
