Symantec Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Leading Industry Analyst Firm’s Magic Quadrant for Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention

Position based on ability to execute and completeness of vision

CUPERTINO, Calif. – June 26, 2009 – Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant in the 2009 Magic Quadrant for Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention.1 The Magic Quadrant positions vendors based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision.
