MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - August 5, 2010 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that Symantec Backup Exec and Enterprise Vault were recognized as 2010 Best Channel Products based on a survey of the VAR community conducted by Business Solutions Magazine and Penn State University. The survey asked Business Solution’s VAR subscribers to rate vendor solutions in five categories: richness of features, ease of configurability, reliability, ease of upgrade and the opportunities they present for VARs. In determining the winners, Business Solutions Magazine surveyed more than 1,400 verified resellers who cast nearly 17,000 votes.
“Information continues to grow at a rapid pace and organizations need an information management solution that helps them protect completely, deduplicate everywhere, delete confidently and discover efficiently,” said Toni Adams, vice president, Channel and Alliance Marketing, Symantec. “Partners are critical to our success and it gives us great pride to know they have recognized Symantec solutions with the Best Channel Product awards.”
Backup Exec 2010 also helps businesses save time and money by protecting more data and utilizing less storage without adding complexity.
