Symantec Rolls-out New Company Logo

The new logo symbolizes Symantec's focus on enabling confidence

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – October 5, 2010 – Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today officially launches the new Symantec company logo. The new logo symbolizes the company's focus on enabling confidence and ensuring customers have simple and secure access to their information from anywhere, seamlessly moving between their personal and professional lives.


The new company logo brings together the Symantec name with the check mark from the recent VeriSign acquisition. The VeriSign check mark is the most recognized symbol of trust online with up to 250 million impressions every day on more than 100,000 unique websites in 160 countries. The check mark and circle will be the common symbol used across Symantec brands including the Norton consumer brand and the Symantec Hosted Services brand. The logo unifies the breadth of Symantec’s resources and amplifies Symantec’s recognition across all customer segments from the individual consumer to the largest global organization.

The previous logo was created in 2000 and has served the company for more than a decade. During that period, Symantec has expanded its portfolio and increased its value and relevance to its customers by bringing together security, storage and systems management. Today, Symantec is the only company addressing that customers information and identities are secured, stored and accessible anytime, anywhere and from any device.
