(NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced the Encryption Solutions Specialization, which provides Symantec partners with a demonstrated expertise in Symantec Encryption solutions with unique benefits designed to help increase their competitive advantage, improve recognition by customers and drive more revenue. Symantec partners achieve the Encryption Solutions Specialization by completing sales and technical accreditation for Symantec’s encryption products, including PGP Encryption and Symantec Endpoint Encryption. The launch of this Specialization marks the full integration of PGP Corporation and GuardianEdge Technologies Inc. channel partners into the Symantec Partner Program.
With Symantec Encryption solutions, partners are able to provide their customers with comprehensive information protection based on proven standards-based technology. Symantec’s family of encryption solutions provide centralized policy management, accurate compliance-based reporting and true universal management of our encryption products.

Partners who achieve membership in the Encryption Solutions Specialization will also be able to differentiate themselves with a Specialist Partner logo and designation as an Encryption Solutions Specialist Partner within Symantec’s Partner Locator. The latest Symantec Specialization supports the company’s increased focus on building partner competence in key solutions areas and providing partners with increased opportunities for predictable, profitable growth.
The Encryption Solutions Specialization requires that partners attain sales and technical accreditations, which ensures they have a deep expertise in selling and deploying Symantec Encryption solutions. Partners who achieve this new Specialization will be enabled to more effectively deliver solutions to help customers improve management, reduce costs and control information risk associated with storing and managing their unstructured information. This Specialization is now available to Symantec Global Strategic, Platinum, Platinum Corporate Reseller, Gold, Silver or Registered level partners (partner types vary by region).
