Matthew Nelson is eDiscovery Counsel for Symantec, where he leverages his legal and technology background to help organizations address challenges related to eDiscovery, compliance, and records management. Throughout his career, Mr. Nelson has been invited to hundreds of law firms, corporations and organizations across the country to help bridge the communication gap that often exists between lawyers and IT professionals. Recent CLE programs and speaking engagements include programs sponsored by American Corporate Counsel (ACC), Director’s Roundtable, The West Coast General Counsel Conference, San Jose Rotary Club, Stanford Law School, the Washington State Bar and many top 200 law firms and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Nelson has written extensively about the new world of electronically stored information including publications in National Law Journal, the Sarbanes Oxley Compliance Journal and California’s leading legal publication, The Recorder.
