Matthew Steele

Senior Director, Product Management, Security Visibility and Management

Matthew Steele leads product management for Symantec’s Security Visibility and Management Solutions, including Symantec Protection Center and Symantec Security Information Manager. Formerly the director of strategic technology for the Enterprise Security Group at Symantec Matthew has previously been responsible for research and design activities that translate corporate strategy into product initiatives. He has also served as a lead security architect in Symantec's field organization. Matthew came to Symantec through the acquisition of Brightmail, an industry leading antispam company where he worked on development of a services platform, managed operations and eventually ran systems engineering and consulting. He has more than 20 years of experience working for public and private sector organizations in both physical and IT security.
