  • Cloud Storage for Nirvanix +
    This connector provides required license for the capability for Enterprise Vault to leverage Nirvanix Cloud Storage as a storage tier for infrequently accessed archived information. The solution allows the administrator to migrate archived information from primary storage to the Nirvanix Storage Delivery Network (SDN) based on age of the information in the archive. Licensing of this connector provides the capability to migrate information to the Nirvanix Cloud storage on a per TB basis; the customer will still require a license for storage in the cloud which can be obtained from Nirvanix. This feature can be licensed as an add-on Option. It is licensed Per TB of archived data based upon the total amount of data to be archived over the license period.
  • Data Classification Services +
    With the Enterprise Vault 10 Data Classification Services, Microsoft Exchange email content and metadata can be analyzed to help determine the specific archiving and retention strategy for that particular message. Classification tags can also be assigned to flag messages for eDiscovery or supervisory review.
  • Compliance Accelerator +
    Enterprise Vault Compliance Accelerator is a highly configurable add-on solution to Enterprise Vault. Compliance Accelerator allows organizations to perform easy, cost-effective supervisory review of email to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as NASD. Providing the framework to select and sample target email, manage its review by appropriate reviewers, and record the process for audit purposes, Compliance Accelerator dramatically decreases the cost and effort of email supervision, review and compliance demonstration.

    Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator extends the basic search functionality of Enterprise Vault to help lower the cost of data collection and facilitate the search and recovery process of archived items used for electronic discovery. The release of Discovery Accelerator provides significant enhancements delivering a more powerful and efficient search capability, configurable enforcement of items during a litigation holds and flexible export capabilities to simplify production.
  • Encase Ingest Connector +
    The Encase Ingest Connector allows the Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator customer to ingest Guidance EnCase Logical Evidence files into the Enterprise Vault archive for use in the legal discovery process by Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator.
    This feature is included with the E-Discovery Enterprise Edition Product Suite (bundle) or can be licensed as an à la carte Option. It is priced Per User, based on the number of Users with Guidance Encase Logical Evidence files that will be ingested into Enterprise Vault and corresponds to the number of Users licensed for Discovery Accelerator.
  • File System Archiving +
    Enterprise Vault File System Archiving provides "out-of-the-box" archiving support for any application that generates and stores information in standard files including Windows, Linux and Unix file systems. File System Archiving saves critical space on file servers by seamlessly moving older/lesser accessed files to the archive without impact on the end-user access. Archive files, by age, size or other criteria. Items are compressed, deduplicated, stored and indexed centrally by Enterprise Vault, and can be searched and retrieved by users.
  • Historical Vault +
    You can restore historical email from backup tapes, legacy archives or other backup media and load it onto a completely separate installation of Historical Vault where you can then perform search, retention, expiry and discovery on the archived email. Historical Vault requires a primary Mailbox Optimization (Standard or Advanced) or Journaling Solution Package to be also licensed.
  • Instant Messenger Archiving +
    Enterprise Vault integrates with IM Manager to provide a single point of storage and review for Instant Messages and E-Mail. Instant Messages are captured by an embedded version of Symantec IM Manager across 13 major protocols including Microsoft Live Communications Server (LCS), IBM/Lotus Sametime, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Bloomberg, Reuters and Google. IM Manager and Enterprise Vault ensure that all electronic messaging can be reviewed, filtered and stored according to policy.
  • Microsoft Exchange PST Migrator +
    Enterprise Vault software allows organizations to migrate all existing PST file data into the archive repository. Restoring user search and accessibility to this data enables the organization to effectively achieve PST eradication.
  • Microsoft Exchange Public Folder Archiving +
    Enterprise Vault Public Folder Archiving archives individual public folders in Microsoft Exchange. Optionally, shortcuts are left behind allowing users to easily view or restore the original items transparently through Outlook or via extended web-based search functions.
  • Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino Mailbox Archiving +
    Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino archives individual mailboxes to eliminate quotas, message size restrictions and simultaneously control message store growth. Admin-defined policies automatically archive email and attachments out of the email server and into online Enterprise Vault stores. Optionally, shortcuts are left behind allowing users to easily view or restore the original items transparently through Outlook, Notes, or via extended web-based search functions.
  • Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino Journaling +
    Enterprise Vault works seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino journaling in order to satisfy the corporate legal or regulatory retention requirements. Enterprise Vault can be configured to retain a copy of all email messages sent and received, ensuring that they are kept for the appropriate period of time required to meet regulatory or legal retention requirements.
  • Secure Messaging and Rights Management Adapter +
    Licensing this connector provides ability to read and index encrypted content enabling Compliance Accelerator and Discovery Accelerator to discover and review Journal content. Specifically this license enables Enterprise Vault to decrypt content secured by Microsoft Rights Management Sever, PGP encryption added by PGP Desktop (including Universal Server) and Enterprise Rights Management protections added by LiquidMachines Document Control. This feature can be licensed as an add-on Option. It is licensed Per User, based on the total number of current Active Users whose email will be decrypted from Microsoft RMS protection, PGP protection or Liquid Machines RMS (typically equal to number of users whose email will be archived).

    Symantec Enterprise Vault for Microsoft SharePoint extends the value of SharePoint environments for collaborating and managing content by automatically archiving from files and other content from document libraries, custom list content, wikis, blogs, discussion boards, and more. As SharePoint environments mature and user adoption increases, Enterprise Vault for SharePoint enables customers to set and enforce retention policies, increase application performance, and maintain eDiscovery readiness. Enterprise Vault for SharePoint not only provides short-term, immediate storage optimization benefits but also becomes a core component of a customer’s long term information governance strategy. Adding SharePoint data to Enterprise Vault helps ensure compliance with corporate policies and litigation preparedness and can be searched alongside other sources (for example, Microsoft Exchange or file system data) using Clearwell and Discovery Accelerator.

    Folder Synchronization is an add-on feature for Enterprise Vault.cloud which synchronizes users’ Outlook folder structures in their archive, allowing them to browse their archives just as they would their inboxes. As a result, users are more productive since they are able to easily switch between their inbox and archive, while maintaining a single view of their mailboxes.

    Symantec Enterprise Vault Mailbox Continuity.cloud, an add-on feature, helps maximize email availability and guard against the disruption and data loss that can result from an email outage. The service provides organizations with a hosted email failover system that automatically* activates when an outage occurs, allowing users to continue sending and receiving messages through their active internet connection – without interruption.

    Symantec Enterprise Vault.cloud for Microsoft SharePoint allows organizations to proactively prepare for legal discovery requests or other investigations involving files stored in SharePoint. Enterprise Vault.cloud captures files from SharePoint document libraries in a centralized and tamper-proof online repository. All files are indexed upon capture so that they can be searched and exported based on specific keywords or other file characteristics. SharePoint files can be retained based on global or granular retention policies – and remain in the archive, even if they are deleted from SharePoint. In addition, archived SharePoint files can be placed on legal hold and/or preserved according to global or granular retention policies. Administrators can also setup specific policy alerts so that appropriate personnel are notified if a file uploaded to SharePoint violates company policy. Enterprise Vault.cloud offers unlimited storage of SharePoint files for a predictable monthly fee.

Enterprise Vault.cloud leverages native APIs to archive Chatter posts, including private and public messages and attachments, in a centralized and tamper-proof online repository. All posts are indexed upon capture so that they can be searched and exported based on specific keywords or message characteristics. Posts and related attachments can be placed on legal hold or retained based on global or granular retention policies – and remain in the archive, even if they are deleted from Chatter. Administrators can also setup specific policy alerts so that appropriate personnel are notified if a Chatter post or attachment violates company policy.     Symantec Enterprise Vault.cloud for Box allows end users to continue managing and collaborating with others on their critical files in the cloud, while helping their organizations satisfy legal and compliance and discovery requirements. Enterprise Vault.cloud uses the native Box API to securely capture, store and index files (and associated metadata) stored in Box (starting from the date of initial account creation). Archived files can then be quickly searched and exported directly from the archive, even if they are temporarily unavailable or no longer exist in Box. In addition, archived Box content can be placed on legal hold and/or preserved according to global or granular retention policies. Administrators can also setup specific policy alerts so that appropriate personnel are notified if content uploaded to Box violates company policy.
