Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ Modules for IBM DB2 Universal Databases Release 2.0

Description
This release of Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ Modules for IBM DB2 Universal Databases integrates two new modules. In addition, this release provides support for installing the modules on three new operating systems.

Note: On August 1 2008, the User's Guide and Release Notes were modified to reflect the correct DB2 version as 9.1. The binaries remain unchanged.

Enhancements
This release of Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ Modules for IBM DB2 Universal Databases provides the following enhancements:

  • Support for installing the modules on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 and ES 5 (32-bit), Solaris Sparc 9 and 10, and AIX 5.2 and 5.3 (32-bit and 64-bit).
  • OpenSSLís 256-bit AES encryption algorithm for storing credentials.
  • Silent installation and configuration of the modules.
  • New modules that have been added are as follows:
    • Audit Configuration module
    • Fix Packs module

Documentation
The updated Userís Guide and Release Notes document all ESM for IBM DB2 Universal Databases module enhancements and new features.
