Behavior


Adware.Sidesearch is an adware component that displays information from the publisher's Web site in a side panel of Internet Explorer when queries are made to other Web sites.

Symptoms


Lycos search results appear in the Internet Explorer search panel without user interaction. Your Symantec antivirus program detects this threat as Adware.SideSearch.
