Symantec is making the following two support life changes to Symantec Scan Engine 5.2:

• For versions 5.2.7 and earlier: These versions rely on a root certificate that is expiring on April 30, 2011. Once the certificate expires, the product will lose update functionality, and will no longer be supported. The new end of support life date for 5.2.7 and earlier is April 30, 2011. It is recommended that you upgrade to the latest build of Symantec Scan Engine 5.2 prior to this date. • For versions 5.2.8 and later: In order to allow for an extended time between upgrades, these builds of 5.2 are receiving an extended support life. The new end of support life for 5.2.8 and later will be July 1, 2013.
