Symantec™ Encryption Desktop 10.3.0 MP2 is Now Available

On June 10, 2013 Symantec™ Corporation released version 10.3.0 MP2 of Symantec™ Encryption Desktop, Powered by PGP Technology.

The following list details some of the changes included in version 10.3.0 MP2.

This release supports the installation of Symantec Desktop Encryption on systems running Mac OS X 10.8.4.

  • Resolved an issue with Symantec Drive Encryption for Mac OS X where a user who has gained access to the disk by using a whole disk recovery token (WDRT) can now successfully change their passphrase when prompted. Also, the user is no longer repeatedly prompted to add a new user. [3179857]
  • Resolved an issue so that the Symantec Encryption Desktop Assistant window does not appear while upgrading from PGP Desktop 10.1.x. [3112377]
  • Resolved an issue with Symantec Encryption Desktop where the embedded policy to automatically set up key reconstruction no longer fails. [3178761]
