Altiris® Application Management Solution™ 6.1 SP1 Release Notes

Application Management Solution provides three ways to manage applications on a collection of computers. Its state management features let you evaluate and remediate applications of any installation type. The Windows Installer features let you maintain the installed state of MSI applications. The file and registry baseline features let you detect computers with non-standard configurations.

Package Rule Management 6.1

You can download Application Management Solution from http://www.altiris.com/Download.aspx to install for the first time or upgrade from previous versions.

Upgrade Issues

None.

New Features in this Release

Improvements for this release include the following:

Windows Vista Compliance

All features of Application Management Solution function properly with client computers that are running the Windows* Vista operating system.

64-Bit Support

All features of the Application Management Solution run in 32-bit emulation mode on 64-bit client computers.

Fixes in this Release

Application Management Solution dashboard reports now work with SQL 2005.	21983
Problems with adding resilient network source paths to existing Windows Installer (MSI) applications have been resolved.
