  2. Additional Notes

An additional PMImport.cab file will be released tomorrow that will include support for distributing the April Security Bulletins for All Languages. If you have Patch Management Solution 6.2 installed and have enabled the Import Microsoft Patch Management Import—Supplementary task, a new PMImportsub.cab file will be released tomorrow as well to accommodate any x64 and Vista updates.

When a Microsoft Security Bulletin has undergone a Major revision, any previously created Software Update Tasks for that bulletin will need to be re-created. In Patch Management Solution 6.1, this is a manual process that has been automated by a script available for download (see Altiris Knowledgebase Article 21548).

When a Microsoft Security Bulletin has undergone a Minor revision, any previously created Software Update Tasks for that bulletin will not need to be re-created. The new PMImport.cab file will simply update the ‘Revised’ column on the Manage Software Updates page to reflect the most recent revision date.
