    1. Support for deploying May Security Bulletins (All Supported Languages). See http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms07-may.mspx for details

  2. Impact of Changes
    1. MS07-027—Updated file version, size, and time-stamp information for the Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP* Service Pack 2. See http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS07-027.mspx.
    2. MS07-005—Bulletin updated: added Windows Server 2003* Service Pack 2 as an Affected Product. Step-by-Step Interactive Training is not installed on Windows by default and therefore this security update should be applied to systems running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.  See http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS07-005.mspx.
    3. MS06-068—The FAQ on Microsoft’s Web site has been changed to show that Bulletin MS06-068 does not replace bulletin MS05-032. See “What updates does this release replace” in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) in this bulletin’s Security Update section for more information at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS06-068.mspx.
    4. MS05-032—MS05-032 is not replaced by MS06-068. See “Why am I receiving this update” in the Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) in this bulletin’s Security Update Section for more information at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS05-032.mspx.
    5. MS04-041—Applicable rule has been updated to only install this update on computers that have the WordPad.exe binary.

  1. Additional Notes

When a Microsoft Security Bulletin has undergone a Major revision, any previously created Software Update Tasks for that bulletin will need to be re-created. In Patch Management Solution 6.1, this is a manual process that has been automated by a script available for download (see Altiris Knowledgebase Article 21548).

When a Microsoft Security Bulletin has undergone a Minor revision, any previously created Software Update Tasks for that bulletin will not need to be re-created.  The new PMImport.cab file will simply update the ‘Revised’ column on the Manage Software Updates page to reflect the most recent revision date.
