Installation Prerequisites and Upgrade Issues for Task Server
The following discusses prerequisites and upgrade issues for this release of Altiris Task Server.
Prerequisites
Task Server computer requirements are as follows:
- Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1
- Windows 2000 SP4 or later
- Altiris Agent
Task Server minimum hardware recommendations are as follows:
- Intel Pentium 4 processor or equivalent
- 1 GB RAM
- 1 GB disk space
Upgrade Issues
You must first install Task Server 7.0 SP1 before you can import any task information (such as tasks, jobs, task status, or task schedules) from Task Server 6.x.
Ports used by Task Server
Task Server uses ports 50120-50124.
Known Issues for Task Server 7.0 SP1
The following are unresolved issues and workaround instructions for issues in this release:
