Upgrading from 2.1 to 6.1 causes the new version to not install properly.

The Workspace Virtualization WMI provider gets unregistered during an upgrade. There are two ways to fix this situation:

  1. Repair the Symantec Workspace Virtualization Agent via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel by clicking ‘Change’ and then clicking ‘Repair’ and stepping through the wizard.
  2. Go to the command line and navigating to the SWV directory (C:\Program Files\Symantec\Workspace Virtualization) and run the following commands:

> regsvr32 svswmi.dll

> mofcomp svswmi.dll.mof
