Installation
The following sections provide information that pertains to installing Workflow 7.0 SP3.
WARNING:
You can disrupt currently-running Workflow 6.5 processes by installing Workflow 7.0. During installation, remember to use the same persistence settings (Exchange, SQL Server) that Workflow 6.5 is currently using in your environment.
Hardware Prerequisites
The hardware requirements for Workflow match standard ASP.NET runtime requirements. The following minimum hardware configuration is recommended:
Workflow Designer
- 2 GHZ processor
- 1 GB of free disk space
- 3 GB RAM
Workflow Server
- Dual processor
- 4 GB RAM
Software Prerequisites
The prerequisites for installing Workflow are as follows:
- Symantec Management Platform 7.0 SP4 and later
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
- Symantec Management Platform Webservice 7.0.55
- Symantec Administrator ASDK 7.0.293
The prerequisite for installing Workflow Server is as follows
- Microsoft IIS* 5.x or 6.x
The prerequisites for installing Workflow Designer are as follows
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
- Workflow Server (Workflow Server is installed automatically during Workflow Designer installation)
- Microsoft IIS 5.x or 6.x.
The prerequisites for installing Process Manager are as follows:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
- Microsoft IIS 5.x or 6.x
- Microsoft SQL Server database 2005 or SQL Express
- Workflow Server (Workflow Server is installed automatically during Workflow Designer installation)
