This document lists the products that support integration with Protection Center and describes how each product integrates with Protection Center.

Integration Features
The following list outlines each integration feature:
- Data collection - the supported product supplies its event data and any appropriate inventory information to Protection Center so that the data can be included in reports. Protection Center also collects data from integrated products and aggregates the data to create cross-product reports. Users can view aggregated data in summary reports and drill down to detailed reports for information about a specific endpoint or a specific security issue.
- User interface - console integration that provides the Protection Center users a single view to manage their supported product. The users can navigate seamlessly to the supported product's console from within the Protection Center console. The Protection Center console displays the supported product's console embedded within the HTML iFrame.
- Single sign-on - the Protection Center single sign-on (SSO) feature automatically logs you in to the supported product when you access its embedded console.
- Process automation - Protection Center lets you initiate the Protection Center workflows that include your supported product's tasks.

The Protection Center business analytics functionality is provided by Altiris IT Analytics from Symantec. IT Analytics provides multi-dimensional analysis and robust graphical reporting, and allows Protection Center users to explore data on their own, without advanced knowledge of databases or third-party reporting tools. The integration of Altiris IT Analytics from Symantec with Protection Center enables you to manage your Altiris IT Analytics from Symantec more effectively and seamlessly.

Symantec Control Compliance Suite

Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange
|
Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange provides real-time protection for email against viruses, spam, spyware, phishing, and other attacks while enforcing content policies on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, 2007, and 2010. To simplify integrating large numbers of servers, Protection Center represents all of the Mail Security servers in your organization as a single Mail Security product. When you enable Mail Security in Protection Center, you let Protection Center integrate any number of Mail Security servers. You can then select the appropriate Mail Security servers and install the Mail Security plug-in to complete the integration. The integration of Mail Security with Protection Center enables you to manage the supported product within the Protection Center console and view the supported product's data in the Protection Center reports. These reports give you detailed information about the status of your email security.
