The purpose of this article is to make you aware of limitations regarding the management of Red Hat Linux 5.7, 5.8, 6.2, 6.3, and SLES/SLED 11 SP2 computers.
- The Symantec Management Agent is a 32-bit version only. There is not a 64-bit agent currently available.
- To make the 32-bit agent work on 64-bit of Red Hat Linux 5.7, 5.8, 6.2, 6.3, and SLES/SLED 11 SP2 computers, 32-bit compatibility libraries must be installed prior. This is the default behavior with some distributions, but should be confirmed as a pre-requisite.
- These computers do not appear in Auto Detection Mode. You must manually push the Symantec Management Agent to these computers
