Description

What's new in this release

  • Two new policies are added that let you install pcAnywhere as Host Only without the pcAnywhere Quick Connect option:
    • pcAnywhere Plug-in for Windows - Install (Host Only)
    • pcAnywhere Plug-in for Windows - Upgrade (Host Only)
  • The "pcAnywhere Hosts by Version" report has a new field "Host Only". The "Host Only" field describes whether the managed computer has pcAnywhere Quick Connect or it is used as host only.

Known issue

From a Host Only client computer, if you use Symantec Management Console to connect to another client computer, the connection is not successful. However, the computer prompts you first to install the pcARemote.exe that is not required on the Host Only client computer and then restart the client computer. Even if pcARemote.exe runs, the remote functionality is not installed.
