Setting the LDAP users, groups, and netgroups base DN

You can set the LDAP users, groups, and netgroups base Distinguished Name (DN). This DN is used by PAM/NSS to search LDAP groups.

Note:
Setting the LDAP users, groups, and netgroups base DN is required.

To set the LDAP users, groups, or netgroups base DN

  1. Log in to SFS using the appropriate user role.

    See Logging in to the SFS CLI.

  2. Enter the network mode.

  3. To set the LDAP users, groups, or netgroups base DN, enter:

    Network> ldap set users-basedn value
    Network> ldap set groups-basedn value
    Network> ldap set netgroups-basedn value

    users-basedn value

    Specifies the value for the users-basedn.

    For example:

    ou=users,dc=yourorg,dc=example,dc=com (default)

    groups-basedn value

    Specifies the value for the groups-basedn.

    For example:

    ou=groups,dc=yourorg,dc=example,dc=com (default)

    netgroups-basedn value

    Specifies the value for the netgroups-basedn.

    For example:

    ou=netgroups,dc=yourorg,dc=example,dc=com (default)
