Scheduling and distributing reports
After you create and publish a report, you can distribute it immediately. You can also schedule it for distribution in the future. You specify the recipients and when you want them to receive the report, for example, once each week.
Each time you distribute a report, either on a schedule or immediately, an additional copy of the report is posted on the Information Manager Web configuration interface. Any user can view the report on the Web by selecting Reporting from the Information Manager Web configuration interface.
Note:
In order to distribute reports to users via email, you must have the proper Information Manager configuration to send notifications to a valid email server.
To distribute a report immediately
In the Explorer pane, under Published Reports, click the name of the report that you want to distribute.
In the Distribute Report area, click Recipients, and then click one of the following:
The report is always posted on the Reporting page of the Web configuration interface, even if you do not specify any recipients. Users who have access to this Web page can view the reports in a Web browser.
Click one of these check boxes:
A dialog box confirms that the report was sent to the selected recipients.
To schedule a report
In the Explorer pane, under Published Reports, click the name of the report that you want to schedule for distribution.
In the Create a report area, do the following:
Use the spinner boxes or the calendar buttons to select the Starts on date and time, and the Ends by date and time.
In the Distribute Report area, click Recipients, and then click one of the following:
