Changing console passwords
You must be logged on in the role of System Admin to change your console password or the console passwords of other users. Users who are not logged on in the role of System Admin can change their own password. Passwords are case sensitive.
Note:
You cannot access the Backup Exec System Recovery Manager server if you do not enter the correct password, or you forget the password. (In such cases, you must uninstall, and then reinstall the console and the server software.) Store the password in a secure place; Symantec has no method for restoring a password to the server.
See About managing roles-based user accounts.
To change your own console password
Verify that you are already logged on to the console in the role of System Admin.
Type the password that you want to change in the Old password text box.
Type the new password in the New password and Confirm password text boxes.
