Other applications using TCP/IP port 8085

Compliance Accelerator uses TCP/IP port 8085 by default. However, if another application on the Compliance Accelerator computer needs to use this port, you can set Compliance Accelerator to use a different one.

Remember that you should not run Compliance Accelerator and Discovery Accelerator concurrently on the same computer.

To change the port that Compliance Accelerator uses

  1. On the Compliance Accelerator server, locate the copies of the Web.config file in the AcceleratorAdminWeb and ComplianceWeb subfolders of the Compliance Accelerator program folder.

  2. Open each file in a text editor such as Windows Notepad.

  3. Find the following line, and change the port number to a suitable alternative.

    <add key="RemotePort" value="8085"/>

  4. Save and close the files.

  5. Restart the Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager service.
