Question
You want to have a host that can be accesses internally via QuickConnect as well as externally via the pcAnywhere Access server and you need to know how to do that.
Answer
By default, there is no way to connect via Access Server AND quickConnect with the pcAnywhere solution agent. This is as designed. Please note the steps below are offered as a workaround and are outside the scope of support for the pcAnywhere product.
There are a couple of options (this assumes you have created a policy setting that docks your pcA agent to the Access Server):
1. Always connect via Access Server. This does mean that you will need to go outside the local network and connect back in through the Access Server.
2. Create a thin host and the user on the agent machine can run that when they need assistance. Know that the agent user will have to run the thin host to kick off the internal waiting host each time a connection is needed internally. The machine would need to be restarted or the pcA agent host restarted after a thin host use.
