Question
How can you find what the database name is for ServiceDesk and Workflow?
Answer
By default, the database name used by both ServiceDesk and Workflow is named "Ensemble". Note: ServiceDesk and Workflow should not be set to use the same Ensemble database if Workflow Solution is separately installed.
To verify what the database name is, open the web.config file on the ServiceDesk or Workflow server. This can be found <ServiceDesk_installation_drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\Workflow Designer\Ensemble for ServiceDesk or <Workflow_installation_drive>:\Program Files\Altiris\Workflow Designer\Ensemble for Workflow.
In the web.config file, search for the "initial catalog=". This will find the connection string line, which will then show the database name after the initial catalog entry.
