Setting up Security Groups in VOM (additional login)

SUMMARY PROCEDURE

 

  1. Configure one or more groups in Unix (/etc/groups) containing all Unix login names that you want to login to VOM.
  2. Use the Settings / Security Groups option to create a new Security Group in VOM.

 

DETAILED PROCEDURE

 

NOTE: In the example below, 'vomadmin' is the name of the Unix group which will be defined as a VOM Security Group (root is a default; do not touch it).

 
  1. Configure one or more groups in Unix (/etc/groups) containing all Unix login names that you want to login to VOM. 
     

     # grep vomadmin /etc/group

    vomadmin::102:mha
     
  2. Use the Settings / Security Groups option to create a new Security Group in VOM.

    a.     Access VOM Security Groups configuration



    b.     Create a new Security Group in VOM
            


    c.     Define new Security Group and it's Role in popup window and click Ok.

    d.    Group added successfully; click OK.
