Server processes that use unified logging

Many server processes use unified logging. The originator IDs correspond to NetBackup processes. More than one process may use an originator ID. UNIX clients and Windows clients also include the processes that use unified logging.

See UNIX client processes that use unified logging.

The log configuration file specifies the name of the directories where the log files for originator IDs are written. These directories and the log files that they hold are written to the following directory, except as noted in Table: Originator IDs for the server processes that use unified logging.

UNIX

/usr/openv/logs

Windows

install_path\NetBackup\logs

Table: Originator IDs for the server processes that use unified logging lists the NetBackup server processes that use unified logging.
